An artist is nothing without the proper tools to work with. ThermaFab is no exception, having assembled a deep collection of machines and presses that enable our artisans to fabricate everything from the practical to the amazing, all with exact precision and skill. We have made a tremendous investment in our plant to enable us to meet your needs.
Shearing
ThermaFab’s employs two shears that allow us to cut all grades of steel up to 3/8″ thick and up to 10 ft. long. In addition, our shears are powerful enough to slice through all grades of stainless steel up to 1/4″ thick.
Punching

Talk about versatile. Our state-of-the-art punching machines allow us to create holes of virtually any shape, emboss metal and create louvers in material up to 3/4″ thick.
Bending and Forming

Power is the name of the game. ThermaFab’s press brakes allow us to bend and form carbon steel up to 12′ long in thicknesses ranging from 20-gauge sheet to 5/8″ plate and stainless and alloy to 1/2″ x 12′ long. We can also use our press brakes as a “stamping” press to create a wide variety of formed shapes.
Burning

300 Amp “Thermal Dynamics” CNC Plasma Precision Burning Center
Does your project require precision cutting that cannot be done through a traditional means? Then our plasma burning capabilities are what you need. ThermaFab Alloy uses its Plasma Burning Center to create intricate nested parts as well as single burnouts. Virtually any shape can be cut with computer-controlled precision. The 60″ x 120″ water table can accommodate full sheets and plates up to 3″ thick in carbon steel and up to 2″ thick in stainless steel, allowing you a variety of choices for your endproduct.
Rolling

Sometimes your project requires more than just shearing, punching and cutting. Sometimes you need curves. Big curves. Luckily, our power plate roll is capable of rolling sheet and plate from 22 gauge to 2″ thick and up to 8 feet in length. In addition, we can roll round bar, flat bar and angles, up to 3″ x 3″ wide.
Shell diameters can be rolled in a range from 12″ to 15 feet.
Welding

Our team of certified welders holds expert qualifications to weld virtually all grades of steel, stainless,nickel alloy and PVQ plate for most applications, including Pressure Vessels, Food Grade and Pharmaceutical Grade welding. ThermaFab’s team of certified welders can weld with material thicknesses from 22-gauge sheet to 3-inch plate, to meet even the most demanding requirements.
We also offer machining services such as drilling, milling, turning and saw cutting.
